New 2024 Cadillac XT6 in Thornhill, ON

There are three relatively straightforward trim levels in the 2026 Cadillac XT6 lineup, but most shoppers are likely to gravitate to the mid-range and top trims. Like the other XT models in the luxury brand’s current portfolio, the 2024 XT6 is available in Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport trim levels. And like the smallest model in the company’s SUV lineup, the Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels share top billing and the same starting price.

All three trim levels are standard all-wheel-drive, but the overwhelming majority of models you’re likely to come across will be Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels. At this level, the price gap between the XT6 Luxury and Premium Luxury is relatively small, and the Premium Luxury specification easily justifies the higher price.

We expect certain things from luxury vehicles, especially Cadillacs, and the 2024 XT6 more than lives up to those expectations. The front and second-row seats are comfortable and spacious, and if you don’t need the full complement of seven seats, you can have a couple of captain’s chairs in the second row instead of a bench. The XT6 departs from much of the competition in the third row, where the seats are much more generous than we’re used to seeing and genuinely usable.

The XT6 Luxury specification is impressive, with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, synthetic leather upholstery, and heated front seats. Premium Luxury does what the name suggests by adding the likes of genuine leather upholstery and a power-folding third row. Although the standard specifications are impressive, you can go much further with an extensive list of options, including Super Cruise driver assistance technology and a Surround Vision Recorder.
